I’ll Have Another Episode 19: Laura Redman
Laura Redman is a local Indy gal who I adore! I have known of Laura for quite some time, but have just recently had the opportunity to get to know her better and she’s as sweet in person as she looks in that picture above. She is a wife, nurse, coach, runner and badass crossfit competitor.
Laura ran collegiately for Purdue University, after placing second in the 800 meters at the High School Indiana State Meet her senior year. After college Laura started running competitively with a group of runners called Indiana Team Elite. She made it to the indoor champions in the mile in 2010 and then ended up running her first marathon in 2011, qualifying for the Olympic Trials on her first try. Laura then went on to compete at the USA Weightlifting Nationals and the American Open as a 53kg lifter. Most recently she competed as an individual in the CrossFit Regionals after competing on a team for three years. I’m in awe.
In this episode we talk about her running career– how she got started and how and why she transitioned into her most recent passion of crossfit and weight training. We also talk about her job as a nurse in the operating room, her favorite recovery snacks and of course the most recent book she’s read! You’re gonna love this episode.
