Work With Me

News and Updates

December 2025

Hi friends,Happy holidays to you and yours! December has been a whirlwind over here, so I figured I’d pop into your inbox with a little life update and some podcast listening suggestions for your holiday runs, walks, treadmill miles, or couch time.First things first: I went ahead and had a little foot surgery yesterday morning. I’ve had this surgery on the books for two months to shave the bone on my foot for a Haglund’s Deformity and genuinely considered canceling it until about 2pm the day before. Chaotic living at its finest.I haven’t been able to run consistently in about a year, and while part of me felt silly because this surgery is elective and running doesn’t look like it once did for me, losing that lifelong love has been more frustrating than I’ve wanted to admit. I stay active in lots of other ways, but I miss that post–six mile feeling. I want to run 5Ks with my kids, jump into trail races, and someday run a half marathon alongside them. So here we are.December has been full in the best way. Louis and I just got back from traveling together to CIM and TRE, which was such a special experience to share. We squeezed in a couple interviews midweek, and then I headed into surgery feeling grateful for how much this season continues to blend work, family, and time together.

Glenn has been the absolute best caretaker, and moments like this remind me what a solid partner and dad he is. You go through a lot in 17 years of marriage, and times like these make me very grateful that when I tried to break up with him 20 years ago, he told me no and said I had no good reason to do that. 😜

On a lighter note, Louis is getting an Amazfit watch for Christmas, and I’m excited for him to start tracking his steps, sleep, and activity like his mom. I’ve loved using Amazfit because it gives me the data I actually care about without being overwhelming, and it’s been fun to share that with him as he gets older and more curious about movement and wellness.Go check out their watches for some amazing gifts for friends and family!
