Makena Morley recently ran her 10k PR in 31:25 which was a one minute PR and just off the Olympic standard by 0.20 seconds! With that time she did qualify for the Olympic Trials so she will be competing there!
She was a 7 time All-American at Colorado and while she was there she ran the 10k school record which was 32:28. She was 2nd to Sara Hall at the 2019 USATF 10 mile championships, only 6 seconds behind her. She also recently ran at the Gate River Run in Jacksonville where she was 4th.
Makena runs for Asics and has a huge career ahead of her. Add her to your list of people to cheer for in the 10k at the trials in June!
