I was so honored to interview Boston Marathon champion Des Linden for a third time at the NYRR RUNCENTER during the United Airlines NYC Half weekend.
On top of winning the Boston Marathon in 2018, Des is a two-time Olympian in the marathon and has placed second at Boston, Chicago and the US Olympic Trials. She holds a marathon PR of 2:22:38 and will go down as one of the most consistent distance runners in the history of the sport.
Des is hilarious in this interview and we had a lot of fun keeping it light but also getting some great conversation in about racing the UA NYC so close to Boston and heading back to Boston as the reigning champion. She gives some great advice to athletes who might be in the beginning stages of their Professional career and we also had time for some audience questions at the end. Make sure you go back to check out Des in past episode of the show in episodes 148 and 97.
I want to say a huge thank you to the New York Road Runners for having me out to NYC for this incredible weekend. It was a true honor!
