My friend Kristin Srour joins me on the podcast today. I always get extra excited when I get to introduce you all to one of my real life friends. Kristin is a Director of Global Community Health Programs at Special Olympics International and has traveled around the World serving their mission. You get to hear all about that in this episode. The work she does is seriously so cool and inspiring. Prior to working for the Special Olympics Kristin worked as the Program Manager for the US Department of State for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and as a Press Advance Representative and Staff Assistant at the White House.
Kristin is married to George, who runs his own amazing non-profit (Building Tomorrow) and has a 2 year old son Gabe. She is passionate about creating community right where she lives. She has run several half marathons and recently cheered her husband George on for his first full marathon- though admits she has no desire to run a full marathon herself. Kristin grew up playing basketball and has a love for athletics and sport- you’ll often times find her at one of our local crossfit gyms doing the swift class to get in a daily workout- pushing limits with high-intensity cardio and strength.
Enjoy my conversation with Kristin!
