Aliphine Tuliamak runs for Northern Arizona Elite and is one to watch for making the 2020 Marathon Team! She grew up in Kenya where she would run to and from school everyday and came to the United States for college where she ran for Iowa and Witchita State.
Aliphine became in American Citizen in 2016 and went to win the USATF 25K, 5K and 20K titles – only to do it again in 2017 when she won four USATF titles in cross country, 25K, 10K and 7 miles. She has a half marathon PR of 1:09:58 and marathon PR of 2:33.
In this episode of the podcast we talk about Aliphine’s life growing in Kenya and what her decision process looked like coming to the United States to go to school and run. We also get to talk about cultural differences and what her life and training looks like today. I had such a nice time getting to know Aliphine and know you are going to love hearing her story.
