I’ll Have Another- Episode 005: Tina Muir
Tina is a Saucony sponsored professional runner who recently represented Great Britain in the World Half Marathon Championships. Tina is the Community Manager for RunnersConnect and host of popular running podcast Run to the Top. Tina is originally from St. Albans, UK, now living in Lexington, KY with her husband (and coach) Steve. With PRs of 16:08 (5k), 33:24 (10k), 1:13 (half marathon), 2:41 (marathon), Tina may have elite speed, but she candidly shares what it means to train, live and breathe your dreams (while still maintaining balance!) on her blog tinamuir.com.
Tina shares her experiences and expertise, she will tell you and show you how it feels to dominate a race and run for your country; to share what it takes to build a strong body and mind and give you a glimpse at her nutrition and training plan looks like, but, most importantly she will share with you how it feels in an open, honest, and honest way.

In this episode we talked about what an average day of eating looks like for Tina when she is in the heart of training- so she logged a day for us and here is what it looks like:
6:30am
Large sweet potato with almond butter and a banana
Chai Tea
Coffee
9:30am-11:30am
3 Powerbar Gels during long run
12pm
3 egg omelette with mushrooms
1/2 cup parsnips
Genucan and Beet Boost drink mix
3pm
Avocado Mash bowl (1 1/2 cups butternut squash, 1 avocado, 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp vanilla, 1/2 scoop Genucan, 1/2 cup coconut flakes)
*Note- I know this sounds weird, but it is soooooooooo good!!
2 squares dark chocolate
6pm
Large portion of cauliflower rice with butter
1/2 lb haddock fillet
1 cup peas
7pm
Homemade eton mess (strawberries, meringue, 1/2 cup ice cream)
1 serving milkybar white chocolate
9pm
3 chili flavored oatcakes (they are very dense, hard, crunchy crackers- not sure we have anything like them in the US)
