Episode 95: Lauren Floris

Episode 95 will round out the last of three interviews from ladies who ran CIM and rocked it. Lauren lives in Southern California (jealous!), is married to Henri and is the mom to Lavinia. Lauren ran in college and came back to running fast just a few years ago. She just ran a 2:44 marathon at CIM, qualifying herself for the Olympic Marathon Trials and taking 22 minutes off of her PR, which was 3:06. She talks about her training in this episode and what race weekend looked like and how even if things don’t go exactly as planned on race morning/weekend, you can still have a kick ass day.

Lauren is a cross country and track coach and also coaches runners on-line with her own coaching business. In this episode we also talk about the fact that she had a natural childbirth at a Birthing Center – as the mom of three, I just can’t even image. (Give me all the epidurals!) I’m always in awe of women you go natural and love hearing about the mental side of that – which Lauren credits to helping her become a tougher runner as well. Lauren is a listener of the show and those episodes are always super fun because listeners seem to be some of the best guests as they know the flow!

Enjoy this episode with Lauren!
