The TCS NYC marathon weekend was an incredible experience and I was so honored to be able to sit down with Sara Hall, Roberta Groner and Kellyn Taylor for a conversation pre race.

In this conversation we get to hear about their training leading up to the race – Roberta was turning this race around quickly after coming off the World Championships and Sara after the Berlin Marathon so I loved hearing about that turn around! I always love talking with the NAZ Elite crew and Kellyn is so tough.

All three of these ladies are also all mother’s so I loved tapping into that piece of the conversation as well. It’s so inspiring to see these ladies who are some of the best distance runners in the World.

Huge thanks to the NYRR for having me out to NYC for this incredible weekend.

I had the great honor to head back to NYC for another live podcast recording with the NYRR last week and I’m excited to share it with you today! Listen in here on my conversation with Jeff Dengate, Runner-in-Chief for Runner’s World, Rebecca Kennedy, Master Tread Instructor at Peloton, and Mateo Ortega, Director of Integrations & Devices at Strava. We discussed the rapidly evolving space of technology and how it is impacting our global running community.

This interview was was deeply rooted in technology and how it can positively impact us. It was really cool to be able to talk with these individuals who are on the cutting edge in this space and I look forward to further discussion on the topic!

Episode 149: Paula Radclilffe https://lindseyhein.com/2018/11/06/episode-149-paula-radclilffe/ https://lindseyhein.com/2018/11/06/episode-149-paula-radclilffe/#comments Tue, 06 Nov 2018 12:11:12 +0000 https://lindseyhein.com/?p=9976 more »]]>

Marathon World Record Holder Paula Radcliffe joined me for a live podcast with the New York Road Runners at their RUNCENTER the day before the TCS New York City Marathon!

Paula has an extensive list of accomplishments, but some that top the charts- she is a three time NYC Marathon champion, a three time London Marathon champion and a Chicago Marathon Champion. Her Record in the marathon, set in 2003 in London in a time of 2:15:25 still stands today, 15 years later. Paula is the mother of two and is still actively involved in the running community.

Enjoy my conversation with Paula – LIVE at the NYRR RUNCENTER!

Big thanks to Christine Burke and Jon Phillips for making this happen!

Episode 134: Christine Burke https://lindseyhein.com/2018/08/03/episode-134-christine-burke/ Fri, 03 Aug 2018 12:02:37 +0000 https://lindseyhein.com/?p=9235 more »]]>

Christine Burke is the Vice President of runner products and services at the New York Road Runners. She lives in NYC with her three kids and husband. Christine’s professional background is in retail and luxury marketing – previous to NYRR she worked for L’Occitane en Provence and Hastens Beds and did a lot of international travel. We get to hear about her career path in this episode and how she grabbed her job with the NYRR – we talk about putting your dreams and ideas out there and just going for it.

Christine is a 25 time marathoner and an ironman! She dreams of completing the 6 world marathon majors and is well on her way- she is running Berlin this fall which will be 4 of 6. She ran her first marathon at the 1993 New York City Marathon, which she finished with both her parents, who inspired her to run from an early age.

In this episode we talk about Christine’s career, raising a family in NYC, the NYRR, marathon running, and her love for Bruce Springsteen.

Enjoy!
