Chased 2000 miles and made it (despite time off for hernia surgery), got some PRs along the way … and decided that I wasn’t going to chase mileage goals again after starting out 2014 burned out and with a bad attitude toward running. Fortunately I got my joy for it back after a 2 week break while in Chile. Sounds like you’ve got a good approach to things and I’m sure you (and Lindsey) will be posting PR updates throughout 2015.
