We’ll definitely have to try to find each other at Muncie! Good luck to you as you continue to strengthen your swim. 2750 yards is no joke (I just did 2700 yards this week… my farthest swim yet)! Nice work! …not to mention it’s quite a ways further than what we’ll have to do at Muncie, so I’m sure you’ll do just fine on your swim.

My training is going well. The swim is also my weakest discipline. While everything goes okay in the pool (although incredibly slowly) I tend to hyper-ventilate at races. Ugh! One sprint and 3 Olympics later and I still can’t figure out how to control my breathing during the swim portion of a tri. I’m hoping to iron out the kinks over my next two Olympic distance races before Muncie in July but we’ll see. Anyway, tomorrow I’m doing my longest bike ride to date… 64 miles. I’m extremely pumped/terrified. Either way it should be a lot a fun.

Enjoy your training and keep up the good writing!

Hi Heather! Thank you and thanks for reading… not creepy at all! I’m glad you found it- I’ll have to find you at Muncie somehow. I’m super nervous for the swim! How is your training going? Peak training right now. šŸ™‚

Hey Rachel! I’ll look for you at Eagle Creek- I’ll prob be super nervous about the swim. This is very new to me- was having run burn out so wanted to try something new and my husband has done an Ironman so he’s kind of “coaching” me! Yes, I’m doing Muncie! Are you doing Muncie??

Sorry to be a creeper, but I found your blog on the Facebook Muncie 70.3 page and am really enjoying following along with your training. After a year in triathlon, I’ll also be making my debut 70.3 at Muncie this year.

Good luck at Eagle Creek in two weeks. I’m sure you’ll love it! I won’t be there but am racing the oplympic distance at the Muncie June Triathlon next week… great opportunity to get some work in on the Muncie 70.3 course (those hills are a little different from what we have in Chicago!)

Enjoy the rest of your training before the 70.3… only 6 weeks to go. Eek!

I had no idea you were doing tris šŸ™‚ This makes me happy!! I’m guessing your 70.3 is Muncie??

Looking forward to seeing you on the course!
